Drawing Instruments - A Collector's Guide

This booklet is both an individual collection and collector’s guide. In it I have covered only the main instruments that would be available through the usual markets - i.e. fairs, shops, auctions and the internet.

Although I have been collecting instruments for a number of years, my collection is not overly endowed with specialist or unusual items, which means my common or garden collection, part of which is illustrated here, is probably more suited to the novice collector.

I don’t deny that there are holes and weak spots in this booklet that could benefit from either more appropriate or better illustrated items. Nevertheless, its a start and I hope of some use as a guide to collecting drawing instruments, particularly those new to collecting.
